Fifth Annual Pool Checkers Festival The Fifth Annual Pool Checkers Festival was held on September 13, 2003, in South Bend, Indiana. The Festival ended in the wee hours of Sunday morning, as the marathon games went on until 2:45 am. The top three places were at stake right up to the end. Al Lambert won the tournament with 38 out of 48 possible points. Charles "Pecan" Thompson was right behind at 37, and Orlando "Panama" Williams placed third with 36 match points. A detailed crosstable will be sent to all players and anyone else who requests it.
